This is the very first painting I ever sold. In 1997, at the end of my first class critique (taught by Laddie John Dill) another artist in the class came up to me and asked me if I sold my work. "I guess,". She offered me $300 for the piece and I couldn't believe it. It was the first time I saw in the eyes of the buyer something I had never seen before - it was as if I had touched her soul. I also sold "Arabian Nights" that day for $125
