journal keeper... need to scan written journals - going to NY on Tues for the
first time for friends wedding and while I'm there I'll be seeing art and staying

the Hfn#2, working on the "20 Portraits Project", have the canvases,
the subjects picked and even some paint that Mike Illes gave me. Haven't been
writing on this page as I usually write in a little composition book at the
beach. Had band practice last night, my only chance to play music in my busy
art making week and it's coming along great... I'm noticing certain patterns
in the way I sing the songs that feel the same though I often change up the
way I sing the verses... these are songs we played fifteen years ago - the music
is extremely difficult and rehersal is a great work out- the set list:

Fucking great week! Sold five
Paintings, sent out bio to Malibu Monthly, shooting stills for my 15 Mod Project,
fuck how do I update this thing- so much great stuff happening... might get
a J O B a a local art school which will kill some art making time but ...shit..gotta

Still tweaking the website.
Just left book at a new film art rental gallery. Cancelled trip to Bali- for
now. Selling car I traded for painting to pay back rent. Slept in van for 20
days thinking I was going to BAli (rented out my room) A little Winter dePRESSion.
Might get a job. Made 50 new small pieces and fucking love them- can't wait
to post them. Did a little flash bio but it is huge but I really like it!

Hey All-
Writing to update everyone on my list what has been happening with me and my
art this year.
November will be one year since I started Paintings and selling work on Oceanfront
Walk in Venice.
The weather, the rain, the sun, the suffering people (on both sides of the Venice
Boardwalk experience), the days when I was invisible, and my inability to prevent
myself from getting so damn excited about making and selling my art (I’ve
scared many sales off- I think because they think I’m trying to sell vs.
share my joy) and the long hours (4am-9pm on the weekends and 9-9 on the weekdays)
have made it a tough year. My Paintings have both protected me from the elements
and in one case caused physical harm (My stupid huge “Kiosk” rolling
studio fell on me and fractured some ribs and should have broken my back)
And then there are the sales- but I’ll spare you- you know who you are
(my Hinne100)
So much crazy stuff has happened I almost don’t know where to start suffice
to say that I have sold a little over 50(!) pieces, 300 of my punk rock Entropy
poster (sold 5 poster displays too!), tons of prints and smaller pieces. I’ve
bartered...a surfboard, a new bed, a hammock, a car. I’ve received gifts-
food, books on art, my “hfilms” step van, the huge canvas that where
in my show, and tons of art and pictures.
Plus all the leads... For galleries all over the world

God where do I start? So much
stuff I must write a damn book about it --- 9 months selling at the beach and
only 1/2 a month behind on the rent - car home friends home car stuff of course
heart broken. Up at 4am

DE 01 EEUU 00 so far. sent
out emails about my show and PRESS releases but got a bunch back- like 50- mostly
AOL (caps) setting up North of Rose- like the energy there- the peole are cool
and even though there isn't as much "traffic" I still have met a bunch
of great people- now to get into a gallery for real- the big scarry step- and
I need to catch up on the rent this month and - half time is almost over! Go
USA!!!!

Okay--- the first time my site is full of stuff and almost have a gift-shop
and just painted- finished four large pieces I'd been working on a year and
a half. Also - well shit I really need to paint my storyboard series to include
all the crazy stories I have from being down at the beach- surfed for the first
time in a year-- I meet the greatest people there

Staying busy- my heart is
broken but it was still a productive day- worked on opening of MOPW- got a great
on an MP3 player- playing oldies- swing etc...Need development deal...shot some
more footage- painted like crazy the last two days- Did my ethics sign down
there- It's the shit!!!!

my show- It's taking a long time to do but I'm getting it done- My wife left
me. I'm dead inside. Other that that I'm glad I'm sober.

others...could be shipping soon! Florida and
France- drove "The Three Wise Guys" to it's
new home in La Cañada- thought the wind would
snap it off of the roof of my little Mazda!
